🛠 Basic Helpdesk Qualifications
1. Technical Skills
- Good understanding of Windows OS (installation and troubleshooting).
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware (RAM, HDD/SSD, power supply, motherboard).
- Experience installing and troubleshooting printers (USB and network).
2. Network Fundamentals
- Ability to check network connectivity (e.g., ping tests).
- Handling network cables including RJ45 termination, cable testing, and fixing basic physical network issues.
3. Software Support
- Installing and configuring software applications.
- Troubleshooting common software problems (Office, browsers, email).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially Outlook setup.
- Handling basic antivirus and security tools.
4. Additional Skills
- Proper documentation of issues and resolutions.
- Good communication with end-users.
- Ability to follow IT procedures and escalation steps.
